His Presence Revitalizes!

But if the SPIRIT of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also QUICKEN (make alive, invigorate, empower, revitalize) your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.” (Romans 8:11)

There is a fundamental truth that continues to prove itself time and time again. That truth is simply this, “that where ever the presence of God abides things come to life!” His presence revitalizes, restores, and makes whole, spiritually and economically. Matter a fact these two cannot be separated. Where ever God is present there is abundance. When we commit to His word and implement it in our lives the blessing of God have no option but to come down upon you – pressed down and shaken together and a running over type of blessing that cannot be denied!

Your ability to stand on God’s word will determine the outcome of your future! You want changes in your life. Are you tried with the cycle of life your in? Then do something about it! Apply that Word that God has been speaking into your life! Then sit back and see God move powerfully on your behalf.

Remember, God’s revelation always precedes His manifestation. Does not His word say “ Beloved, I pray that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.” 3 John 2.

Until Christ Be Formed In You

Let us dive into the riches of the Fathers plans and purpose for the life of every believer. I believe it is a worthwhile journey toward understanding the Fathers intent for all true believers. We see in the gospels and in the epistles a profound revelation of the Fathers progressive work in our lives. First, we understand the liberating Substitutionary work of Christ as our Redeemer. But I aspire to expound more so in what literally takes place upon our lives as we enter into the realities of this new creation.

Jesus himself begins to reveal to his disciples that “unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:3. Paul puts it this way; “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things has passed away; behold, all things have become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17. Both these scriptures speak of a new birth. But lets us lay aside the elementary of this new birth and let’s dive into the essentials of its implications as it pertains to us.

Paul tells us that, “…according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit.” Titus 3:5. Let’s take a good look at what the Spirit of the Lord desirers us to know. This first word regeneration in the Greek is palingenesia – which means renewing again; the production of a new life consecrated to God; a restoration to its pristine state; a radical change of mind for the better. So you see, that the central theme to this scripture is clear that the Holy Spirit is reproducing in us the very nature of God! That is the ministry of the Holy Spirit, revealing in us the perfect will of God. The Holy Spirit is the agent in the regeneration and the word of God is the instrument. The very nature of God is working in us! Changing our hearts, cleansing our wills, motives, and desires until Christ be formed in us. It is that place when we morally conform to His word, and the deficiencies of our character are addressed by His Spirit.

God’s plan of redemption is amazing, in that it reveals the ability of God to build Himself into us through His Word by His Spirit, so that in our daily lives we can live like the Master. That’s right we are to be imitators of God as dear children (Ephesians 5:1). This scripture tells us to mimic Him in every way. Literally it implies that we are to act like God acts. May I remind you of Jesus’ own words that says, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.” John 14:12. My God, we must allow this new creation to become a reality within us all! How amazing is that! E. W. Kenyon says, “All that He is is at our disposal…” “We admired the strength and courage of Jesus in His earth walk. We were thrilled at the ability that Christ manifested as He met every difficult situation. His wisdom, gentleness and forbearance we admired, and now the Spirit wants to take all of those things that we have admired in Jesus and build them into us.”

And that my friend is what’s at the heart of the new creation experience. Here lies the evidence of those who are truly surrendered, those who have died to self, and concluded that, “For to me to live is Christ.” Philippians 1:21. “…until Christ be formed in me” Galatians 4:19. “…for it is God who is at work within you, willing and working His own good pleasure.” Philippians 2:13.

Let us embark with great resolve to fully assimilate the realities of this new creation in all its splendor. For all creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the children of God. (Romans 8:19)

Stay The Course

Ever since that moment in my life, when God reach out and lovingly revealed Himself to me, things have never been quite the same. For as long as I can remember, there was a knowing, that He was gently guiding me along life’s journey.

This central truth acted as a compass within me that kept me pretty much on course and throughout the years has proven itself a reliable presence. Even when the inevitable storms of life came crashing down upon me, this central truth has been my strength and hope. A strength that gave me the courage to keep standing on God’s word and a hope that kept my eyes on God’s future plans and purpose for me. It caused me to Stay the Course! It was real to me then and continues to be a reality to this day. It drives me, and compels me to move forward towards those things ahead that God desires to fulfill in my life and in this House of Worship.

I could not fathom living life without this inalienable truth. This guidance is a divine promise for those that seek to walk in obedience to Him. The Lord desires to bring us into pleasant places, “He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside still waters.” Psalms 23:2. When we need to make decisions God’s word says, “The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will He teach his way.” Psalms 25:9. This is something He wants to do for all His children.

He has further promised that even in the midst of uncertainties, there He is to guide us, “And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.” Isaiah 42:16. How could we not confide and be assured by such promises! We have got His word that He will not keep us in the dark but will illuminate our every situation and bring resolve and victory! Be assured my friend that I can surely testify to this, time and time again, Glory to God!

How you may ask? By that still small voice that the Prophet Isaiah spoke about, “And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when you turn to the right hand, and when you turn to the left.” Isaiah 30:21.

My friends here lies the heart of the matter! Can we hear this still small voice for ourselves? Are we able to distinguish this voice from all the others? Have we come to recognize a distinction between them? There lies our greatest challenge! Why is it that hearing God for ourselves is easier said than done? Yet, it is so necessary. We must get this right!

If we are to Stay the Course and finish this race, we must learn to quite our soul. And, nothing gets that done better then a strong prayer life. One that is disciplined, consistent, and passionate. It rids the noises and clutter in our lives long enough for us to hear the Lord’s directions for our lives. Hearing God will deliver you, liberate you, and it will absolutely lead you to a victorious life! Nothing brings greater stability in one’s life then when we learn to hear God.

So let us Stay the Course, we know what we need to do, don’t we!
